One of my accomplishments is when we had to write a narrative essay about our happiest day of our life. Well, I wrote about the day my first brotrher was born. That day was truly one of the happiest day of my life and an unforgettable one too. When I got my final coppy back graded and everything i saw that i got a 100 on it, i actually got a 95 because of some grammatical errors but i got 5 extra credit points for typing it. I was excited because I put a lot of effort into it and i was glad it paid off. Although, I was also kind of angry at myself for not rereading it so well but I thought to myself tha at least I typed it and got 5 extra credit points on it.
Another accomplishment of mine is being able to create this website. At first I thought it would be alott of hardwork but it's actually fun. You get to let Ms.Ornelas know if you"re getting the things she's teaching us because we have to put it on our website. Everyone in the class has a website and I think of it as a way to show Ms. Ornelas to show that we belong in gifted and won't fall behind and fully understand what she means.
We had to study a scientist and then create projects. Well, for my projects i made a cereal box and wrote a letter. The scientist I studies was Niels Bohr, he was a physicst and humanitarian. The cereal box had to be designed after the scientist so I named my cereal Atoms. Since, he helped us better understand the structure of the atom. For my letter I commented on his life and asked questions about it. I just wish he was still alive so he could have responded. For my projects I got a 100 on them. I tought i really deserved that grade because I worked hard on them so i was happy with the grade I got.
On the progress report I had gotten a B in science but recently Mrs. Ornelas see our grades and I got an A so far. I was proud of myself for bringing my grade up because some people got their grades lower and I actually raised it. I hope I still have an A in science. I'll keep working hard and hopefully I'll maintain that A.
THe most recent science test we got I had gotten a 100% which is an A. I still don't know what i got on the test we took today but anyway the test was an open-book test which ment we could have used our book and notes. This helped a lot since we had only talked about that lesson for a total of two periods. I was proud because although we got to use our books a few got a low A or a B. I hope I get a 100% on the test we took today.
On my report card i had gotten a B in writting but now i keep getting 95% and one 100%. I think I am improving a lot and I am praying for on A on my progess report and report card. If I am lucky and keep working hard I will acheive this goal. So far I am proud of myself for improving in writting.
